I am so happy to see that people are becoming more aware of autism and starting to create more programs that enhance individuals with autism ability to access the workforce. This is a huge life transition and needs to be more widely recognized by more company's.

Sorry about the strange coding that has popped up in this post. Thanks for your comments. Thorkil Sonne had a conference in Denmark in May this year to help spread the word about this program. (Wish I could have gone but very expensive to get there from NZ.)

Check out www.specilisterne.com for more information.

I have a nephew who will be entering the work force shortly who has a certain degree of autism.

As with all families impact by autism, each case is going to be somewhat unique and the learning process endless as we work to provide the best quality of life for the autistic individual.

Much of what you say rings true from my experiences and it reinforces the need for not only more efforts with behavioral therapy but also work place applications where individuals can contribute in a meaningful way

This is very interesting. I guess a lot of people with autism will benefit from this. I actually find autistic individuals as intelligent and very focus so I think they will do well in IT and product testing work.
